Park Rules
The purpose of these Park Rules is to outline how we intend to create and maintain a safe, fair and enjoyable living environment at Wisewoods in cooperation with our community.
As a condition of use of the property and/or facilities at Wisewoods, you agree to the following Park Rules:
General Guidelines
Be mindful, reasonable and respectful.
Wisewoods encompasses over 11 acres of private property that is mostly forested. It includes private and shared sites, environmentally sensitive and protected areas, and it has neighbouring privately owned properties. For your enjoyment and safety, and with respect to our neighbours, please familiarize yourself with the property map (current version below) and pay attention to any signage posted around the property.
As you navigate the property, please use caution as you travel along roadways and paths. Respectfully remain within your designated site and common area boundaries, and stay out of other designated private sites and any hazardous or protected areas.
Kids and pets are often at play throughout the property (and you are responsible for yours). Please drive and/or ride slowly and carefully on roadways, especially around corners at 10km/h maximum.
All of our roadways and paths are active and shared. Please use and cross with caution.
Environment & Waste
To protect the local flora and fauna, we ask that you do not cut or chop trees from areas on or surrounding the property, and do not pollute or interfere with water that flows through the land.
Many wild animals including bears, elk, deer, ravens and eagles live in the area. For everyone’s safety, please avoid attracting them to the property by storing your food securely and disposing of your waste properly.
Sites must be kept clean and free of clutter and waste. Loose garbage, green waste, bottles, cans, boxes, household furniture, and other equipment should be stored so they are not visible from outside of your site.
For the safety and enjoyment of all, please also clean up after yourself throughout the property.
Note for long term tenants: our waste collection day is Tuesday; you may add your green waste weekly and garbage waste bi-weekly to the bins located off the highway after 9am each week.
Noise
Please be considerate and do not create excessive noise that will disturb your neighbours.
Campfires
All fires must be contained to a fire pit in designated areas only, and monitored by an adult; do not leave a fire unattended.
Please note that no fires are allowed when a government mandated campfire ban is in effect.
Guests
A reasonable amount of guests may be allowed on your site and/or in shared spaces on the property at any given time. Please comply with any current public health orders issued by the government of British Columbia and Canada.
Owners and tenants are responsible for communicating the Park Rules to their guests respectively; please be reminded that use of the property and/or facilities deem agreement to the Park Rules, including the Waiver of Liability.
Anyone failing to comply with Park Rules or anyone behaving in a disrespectful or destructive manner will be required to leave the property immediately, and may not be allowed to return.
Pets
Pets may be allowed upon approval from Wisewoods. Please be responsible for your pet (and for those of your guests), leash when appropriate, and pick up after them on your site and throughout the property.
Vehicles
Vehicles are to be parked in designated spaces only. Please keep all roadways and walking paths clear at all times.
Special Events
Occasionally, Wisewoods may host special events such as weddings, celebrations, socials, retreats, live performances, or other pop-up events. During such occasions, please note that access to shared spaces and facilities on the property may be limited.
Moving In and Moving Out
You are responsible for all logistics related to moving into and out of your site, and for any associated fees, within timeframes agreed upon with Wisewoods. Additional move-in and move-out fees payable to Wisewoods may apply.
Any plans to excavate, build upon or alter a designated site in any way must be approved by Wisewoods in advance. Upon moving out, you are responsible for any logistics and fees required to return the site to its original state and condition or to a particular state and condition that is agreed upon with Wisewoods in advance of your move-out date.
Waiver of Liability
